We screen for periodontal disease during every preventive care appointment. By measuring around the tooth to monitor gum attachment levels, we can assess areas of early gum detachment. Non-Surgical Periodontal Disease Treatment
To avoid oral surgeries or grafting procedures, Dr. Goldston uses a non-surgical deep cleaning approach to eliminate and reverse infection. These cleanings remove the calcified tartar deposits deep below the gums, allowing the area to begin healing. Following your scaling and root planing procedure, we will recommend a maintenance visit every 3 to 4 months, until symptoms improve.
